Harriet Sweeney is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Dandy — a cultural platform for modern women built on authority, discernment and trust.
A writer by instinct and a strategist by profession, Harriet has spent years working at the intersection of beauty, wellness and retail. She has shaped and led brand partnerships across global names including L’Oréal and Coty, and worked alongside some of the UK’s most respected retailers — Space NK, Liberty, Selfridges and Harrods — developing positioning, commercial strategy and launch frameworks that balance cultural relevance with performance.
But alongside that commercial world, Harriet was asking bigger questions.
Why were women still being sold aspiration without transparency?
Why did “wellness” so often feel aesthetic rather than rigorous?
Why were standards softened in favour of scale?
Dandy was created in response to that gap.
Her mission is simple: to build a platform where nothing lands casually. Where brands are vetted, voices are credible, and women are spoken to with intelligence rather than assumption. Where commercial understanding and cultural integrity can coexist.
At its core, Harriet’s work is guided by a clear set of values: transparency over trend, substance over spectacle, and women placed firmly at the centre of the conversation.
Dandy reflects that standard.
